The Veteran Memorials Circle
The Veteran Memorials Circle (formerly Patriot Park) garden rejuvenation project seeks to refresh the park by installing native plants that have evolved and thrive in American soil and reflect American resilience. The new native plant garden will:
Establish a destination where people can come, reflect and enjoy the varied plants that contribute to an overall peaceful and harmonious environment.
Show the versatility and beauty of native American plant species in a layered, multi-season garden setting.
Create an ideal ecosystem where crucial pollinators and birds can thrive by providing habitat, food and shelter by using the three pillars of dynamic support: trees, shrubs and perennials.
Provide an environmentally-conscious garden designed with traditional principals that has captivating viewpoints when seen from any angle of the garden.
Educate visitors with interactive identification signs that link to our website with in-depth information about the plants in the garden.
Demonstrate what is possible with native plant gardening and serve as an example of a ‘Pollinator Pathway’ for both private and public garden endeavors.
