We aim to bring beauty to our town while supporting the greater ecosystem.
Who We Are: We are people with a passion for plants, who like to discuss their form and function in any given space. Our club membership includes all levels of gardeners. Some are newbies and anxious to learn from the more seasoned gardeners and others are master gardeners. However, we are all learning more and more together each and every year and are working to communicate the importance of planting natives.
What We Do: We maintain four pollinator gardens and the town planters with cheery pansies in the spring, colorful annuals in the summer and seasonal greenery in the winter. At the holidays, we look forward to our wreath-making workshop, where we dress up the doorways of our town government buildings with evergreens and natural wintery trimmings.
Every spring on Mother’s Day weekend, we hold our annual fundraising plant sale. The plants are carefully selected by our committee, months in advance. We sell natives, perennials, annuals, hanging baskets, tree saplings, plugs and more. This year we will be adding a spring bulb fundraiser.
Garden and farm tours, workshops, luncheons and lectures are planned events each and every year.
Meetings: Our club typically holds business meetings at a member’s home or a local park. We love to be outdoors whenever the weather permits. Meetings are held during the week, either in the afternoon or evening depending on everyone’s general availability.
Fee: Our members pay an annual fee of $27
