The Battle Of Pines Bridge
The Garden Club proudly donated towards the Battle of Pines Bridge Monument, located in Railroad Park on Underhill Ave. The monument, which was erected in 2018, stands as a testament to the club's commitment to preserving Yorktown's rich history. In addition to the donation, the club also honored the memory of Monica Doherty, a beloved member known for her passionate and knowledgeable approach to local history. As a former President of both the Historical Society and the Garden Club, Monica played a pivotal role in the creation of the monument.
